There was a time when Hip Hop was awash with dignity. Fans needing a hero of high moral standing could choose from a wide array of stars. Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Gang Starr, Main Source, - all brought gravitas and stern-but-tolerant manhood to many a record. In our present confusing times, though, such eminently trustworthy figures are few and far between. Indeed, perhaps there's only one. He is the strong, forgiving half Puerto Rican half white DJ: he is the studious, determined producer from Miami Florida: he was Boston’s last chance for respect from the rap world: he was Tim Robbins’s faithful, sympathetic mentor, finding hope in hell in The Shawshank Redemption. He is, of course, DJ M.C., Hip Hop’s one true Face of Human Decency. But there's so much more to him than a caring glance and benevolent smile. The “Most Creative” now strives to bring you the finest underground Hip Hop from Boston and beyond. But don’t think just because he has a new gig he will ever stop loving you; that fire in his eyes is still so bright - it's impossible to imagine it ever going out.
