2021 Menuhin Competition Winner María…

This week, we sat down with Elizabeth Chang ‘85, a violinist, performer, educator, and arts administrator. Chang is currently a professor of violin at University of Massachusetts Amherst, a member of the violin and viola faculties at the Pre-College Division of the Julliard School, and Artistic Director of Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival. We chat with Chang about her time at Harvard, her teaching philosophy, and some exciting news for this year.

2022 Queen Elisabeth Competition Winner Hayoung…

This week, WHRB had the pleasure of speaking with 2022 Queen Elisabeth Competition Winner Hayoung Choi and Boston Philharmonic founder and conductor Benjamin Zander to chat about their upcoming concert together on Saturday, November 12 at 8 pm ET in Symphony Hall. Choi is making her US premiere with the Dvořák Cello Concerto for the concert, and the program also includes Brahms Symphony No. 2, the first symphony Zander conducted in 1972.

Presented by the Celebrity Series of Boston, the concert was on Sunday, November 13 at 8 pm ET. The program featured American composer Andrew Norman’s ‘Unstuck,’ Mozart Violin Concerto No. 1, and Korngold’s Symphony in F-sharp Major, Opus 40.
