About

For over seventy years, 95.3FM has been Boston's first source for exciting, entertaining, and enlightening music broadcasts. Harvard Radio's daily broadcast of Classical music, Jazz, and underground Rock explore a great repertoire of music left largely untouched by other commercial stations. WHRB's weekend lineup features Blues and Hip-Hop, as well as Boston's beloved Hillbilly at Harvard, WHRB News, and Harvard Sports. In an era when quality music is increasingly difficult to find on the radio, the Boston Globe has praised WHRB for retaining an “unswerving commitment to individual and adventurous programming.”

WHRB is perhaps best known for inventing the musical Orgy®. Presented twice a year in January and May, Orgies are marathon-style musical programs devoted to a single composer, performer, genre, or subject. The New York Times has called them “idealistic and interesting,” adding, “the WHRB Orgies represent a triumph of musical research, imagination, and passion.”

WHRB's daily programming is listed in a comprehensive Program Guide, available both by mail and online. To receive a free subscription by mail, call us at 617-495-WHRB, write us at 389 Harvard Street, Cambridge, MA 02138, or see 'Program Guide' on our website.

Harvard Radio Broadcasting Co., Inc. is a private, non-profit corporation operated on a volunteer basis by undergraduates at Harvard College. Policy and programming decisions are made entirely by undergraduate members. The principal purpose of WHRB is to offer musical, cultural, educational, informational, and other programs and materials for the entertainment and profit of the public, and for the education and training of its staff.
