Support Relief Efforts in Louisiana Impacted by Hurricane Ida

(Bucket Brigade Staffer Kate McIntosh, Barbara Washington of Inclusive Louisiana, and two volunteers from Habitat for Humanity)

Courtney DeLong, '22, speaks to Crystal Gross of the Louisiana Bucket Brigade, an environmental group that works with community partners in St. James and St. John Parish, two regions hit hard by Hurricane Ida. Currently, Gross tells WHRB a number of community-run advocacy groups have taken on important roles during recovery and are helping coordinate the distribution of tarps, generators and other needed supplies. To donate to relief efforts you can visit the Louisiana Bucket Brigade's website and then donate directly RISE St. James, Inclusive Louisiana, or The Descendants Project.
