WHRB Sports Special Feature: Interview with MLB Network's Jon Morosi

Listen

In anticipation of the upcoming Harvard Baseball event at the Harvard Club of Boston, Jon Morosi of MLB Network, sat down with WHRB's Brandon Wachs to talk about his career and the Major League Baseball Executives Q & A Harvard Baseball Style event. Jon was a member of both the Crimson and WHRB. He covered Harvard Hockey, broadcasting games in the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 seasons. Jon still covers hockey from time to time, most recently interviewing Harvard's own Adam Fox at the World Junior Championships.

Jon will be the emcee at the event this Monday night at 5:30 PM. Joining him will be fellow Harvard alumni that now work as executives in Major League Baseball. The duo walks through Jon's career path, how he found himself working for MLB Network, and his decision to pursue sports journalism after college. Next, the pair speaks about the World Baseball Classic and the growth of the game of baseball. Jon is a passionate supporter of the World Baseball Classic and has become fluent in Spanish to better capture the voice of Hispanic baseball players. The interview concludes with Jon speaking of his fondest WHRB Sports memories and providing some very apt advice to young people who want to pursue a career in Sports Journalism.
