    Hozier - Wasteland, Baby! Review

With this being his second album, four long years after the release of his self titled, Hozier, the color of the music presented takes a more passionate turn than that of his previous album- where there once was the harrowing ring of “As It Was” or “Sedated”, both of which discuss the painful underside of nostalgia, and the loss of a more simple time, Hozier uses this album as canvas to let in some much needed light, giving way to feelings of eroticism and romance. Interview With TV Girl
/groti and /b@$ic had the privilege of seeing TV Girl, a toe-tap-inducing indie pop band with wittily sarcastic and subtly lugubrious lyrics. From their Motown-esque backup vocals to their interpretive dance involving an apple and a mischievous worm, TV Girl’s live performance fused their bumping music and goofy-charming aesthetic to create one heck of a live show. We chatted with the trio (Brad, Jason, Wyatt) after the show, and got a bit more into their motives behind the music, band dynamics, and, of course, the infamous lentils.

TV Girl - Who Really Cares
With their “laughable because they’re so brusquely true” lyrics, danceable instrumentation, and snazzy samples, TV Girl’s Who Really Cares is the deep end of indie electronica: still head-bobbily feel-good, but riddled with hilariously stark social commentary upon closer listen.
